Mental Health Centers will often accept minors if their custodial parent commits them and has health insurance to pay for their institutionalization. But when the parent is not qualified to make such determination as to the true mental health of the child, what crime has the parent commit for orchestrating a false institutionalization?

Can the mental health facility be held liable for accepting a healthy minor and forcing them into treatment and medication when the minor has no mental illness or psychosis and does not need treatment or medication?

What is the body of law that governs patient rights of minors in this situation?
The parent won’t specify what they believe is wrong outside of claiming the child is having anxiety attacks, yet there is nothing in the child’s behavior or words that would indicate an anxiety attack. The mother talks over and ignores the child, and when the child gets upset for being treated this way, the mother says it is the child’s fault and they are having an anxiety attack. The child now feels as though they cannot express any emotion whatsoever for fear the mother will label it disfunctional or suspect, and the mother doesn’t even have a college degree and no training in mental health diagnosis or therapy. At worst, the child may need to learn to be more patient and not jump to conclusions, but after years of being trampled over and ignored, one can understand their trained frustration.

I am 21 years old without a job or health insurance. My wisdom teeth are coming in and will need to be soon removed. Are "health centers" the answer for me even if I have no income coming in with no money at all. What are my options?

I have private health insurance and I was wondering which is more cost effective private doctors or community health centers? I noticed that private practices are way more expensive. Why is that?
I don’t have a HMO it’s a HSA health plan.

I need some MAJOR dental work done and I’ve thought about getting on Medicaid to help me pay for it as it will be way too expensive and I can’t afford most of the work I need done right now. I’ve looked into going to a dentistry school/clinic as I’ve heard it is much cheaper than private dentists (btw does anyone have a rough estimate of how much it would cost to go to a dentistry school/clinic, i need a few root canals/crowns done..)

But the one last thing people tell me about is Health Centers. What are they? I’ve heard sometimes they will provide free dental care to even people that need major services, i.e. root canals, crowns, etc. Or they are even cheaper than a private dentist and/or dentistry clinic/school.

I’ve heard of 2 Health Centers in Nebraska. CHARLES DREW HEALTH CENTER and ONE WORLD COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER…

Is there anyone out there who knows about these Health Centers?

I would greatly appreciate any feedback on this!

Thank you.
I heard you get care from them regardless if you have health insurance, and they charge you based on your income and what you make, being as I have no income, I have no job, I temporarily live with parents for the moment, how will this work out? I can probably do a "down payment" kind of thing for them like ,000.

so Im an international student so the only way I have access to medical care is by the school health insurance. However, because the school is lead by a specific religion, would they be able to get me in birth control if I go to a genecologist there? My parents are not here, so I can’t take my mom with me, which is safer but I just want to know how to ask for it

I’m a college student and I needed my annual check up to get another prescription for my birth control pills. I usually just pay the enormous amount at my normal doctors, but I don’t have health insurance and wanted other (cheaper) options. I found a clinic that is income based, and they said since I was a college student with student loans, that just a donation would be fine. I really don’t know how much I should donate. Can anyone help? Like ? or ? More? Ugh I just don’t know.
