I have been coughing for the past 4 weeks now. Its a tickly, dry-ish kind of cough. Went to see a Gp in one of the nhs walkin centres and was told that its a viral, not infection, therefore no medicines!! I have tried 3 different syrups including Veno, Benylin and honey and gargles etc etc.

Ma fren you need to take care… as this can lead to some other sickness too….
1st pls stay out of cold: avoid spicy foods, chiken curry, corn stuff etc for some days….drink less water and keep your dry…avoid cold water, drink…air….keep yourself warm….stay away from people…it is contagious…..and take medicine….and drink only hot/warm water….Merrry Christmas….Bye!

ive been coughing for about 3 weeks now. and i got my stuffy nose about a week ago. ive tried dayquil and drinking hot water with honey and ginger to get rid of my cough, which is not working. my stuffy nose is not getting any better at all from since i first got it. the dayquil i took was supposed to help with cough and nasal congestion, but apparently it didnt help either. anything else i can do to get better? i might be going to the doctors to get a shot or something..

I am 12 and I have had a dry cough for 3 weeks now. it is really annoying and sometimes keeps me up at night. Are there any medicines i can take? i wont take robitussin. It makes me sick. Should i visit the doctor? Any ideas what this could be? Thanks in advance.

Well , try taking Advil or Tylenol . It might help you. Maybe you have a cold or something . I also think that you should drink plenty of water and eat lots of Fruits . If it continues , than I suggest you should visit your family doctor. :) Get well soon.
